I’m Inspector Huw Griffiths, sector inspector for the Pontardawe area, which covers Skewen and Neath Abbey, Pontardawe and the communities in the upper Swansea Valley. We are lucky to serve in an area that is rich in community spirit, history and culture.

What area does Neath Port Talbot Local Authority Cover?

The Pontardawe sector covers an area from the Bristol Channel at Crymlyn Burrows to Brynamman at the foothills of the Black Mountains and incorporates the wards of Coedffranc West, Coedffranc Central, Coedffranc North, Dyffryn, Aberdulais, Bryncoch South, Bryncoch North, Cadoxton, Alltwen, Pontardawe, Rhos, Trebanos, Cwmllynfell, Godrer’graig, Ystalyfera, Gwaun Cae Gurwen and Lower Brynamman.

There is a commitment from the sector to increase visibility, effectiveness and public reassurance within every ward and to make policing inclusive of the needs of all members of the community.
