On Wednesday 9th May and Thursday 10th May Special Constables assisted the Pontardawe Neighbourhood Policing Team by carrying out speed checks along the A474 Pontardawe Road.
3 Fixed Penalty tickets were issued on the Wednesday for speeds of 50mph, 48mph and 45mph with 7 warning notices being issued for speeds between 35-40mph.
Another 3 Fixed Penalty tickets were issued on the Thursday again for speeds exceeding 40 mph and 6 warning notices will be issued for speeds between 35-40mph.
Both operations were well received by the local Community.
