PACT priority resolved

Residents told us about youths congregating in the area behaving in an anti-social manner and generally being a nuisance.
“We contacted the fire service and worked with them to arrange for one of the garages to be taken down and another has been bricked up to prevent access.”
Neighbourhood officers in the area have also been instrumental in tackling problems of illegal parking near Prince Street Garage which have been resolved since police conducted a warrant at the premises.
Port Talbot Sector Inspector Karl Eenmaa said: “These are just two examples of how the PACT meeting process is working successfully.
“Residents raised these issues which have been grasped by the police and our partners and now hopefully resolved them for the long term.
“PACT meetings are a vital part of our community engagement although we have many others forms of engaging with the public, such as a street surgeries and Cuppa with a Copper which are proving just as popular with residents and are very successful from our viewpoint.”
