Never leave your mobile phone unattended.

Be aware of pickpockets in crowds don’t make it easy for them.

Don’t display phones in an unattended vehicle.

Avoid using a mobile when you exit a train station or places where large amounts of people are. (Thieves can easily disappear into the crowd).

Take care of your phone when at music festivals/concerts, phone thieves have targeted these type of events.

Only take your mobile phone out of your pocket or your handbag when you need to use it.

If it has a security lock code use it.

Property mark your phone with your postcode and door number to help police identify stolen ones. Remember to re apply as uv paint will fade.

Report a lost or stolen phone to the police immediately.

Inform your service provider if your phone is stolen or lost.
If the worse happens and your phone is stolen, call 08701 123 123. You will need to have your IMEI number (15 digit serial number) when reporting a
stolen mobile phone. You can find this by dialling *#06# on most mobiles or by looking behind the phone battery.
You should keep a note of your IMEI number in a safe place in case it is required.
