Rhydyfelin and Hawthorn Ward meeting held 1st August 2012 at Hawthorn Leisure Centre

- Thefts of diesel at Costain Sites
- Window of conservatory smashed
Ynyslyn Road
As a result of reports that the drug ‘Magic’ is being used by young people in the area, a meeting was held with a small number of local parents and valley kids.
4 warrants carried out 13th July in relation to Misuse of Drugs Act, 3 people were arrested, and enquiries are ongoing.
The “Emotion behind the Commotion” workshop carried out with a small group of youths from Hawthorn to raise their awareness of anti- social behaviour can affect vulnerable people living in their community. Many other workshops planned through the summer.
Alexon House – This issue has been raised as a safeguarding children issue at a recent meeting and will be looked into. Number of calls at this location in July involving youths smashing the windows and throwing slate from the roof into the road below. Offenders have been identified and positive action will be taken.
