Off road bike operation

No bikes at hot spot location
On Saturday 24th July 2010, Pontarddulais and Penllergaer Neighbouhood Policing Teams held an off-road bike operation, where they visited all known off-road bike hot spot locations in these areas. They visited Heol Y Barna, Garngcoch common and Felindre amoungst other smaller locations. They also responded to any calls of off-road bike annoyance in these areas. No bikes were seen in any of the hot spot locations.
PC Jodie Millin advised that " the word has spread that these areas are being targetted on the weekends and riders are staying away. Many riders have been warned recently and a few have had their bikes confiscated. The word is spreading about the proactive work we are doing in these areas and we will be continuing our efforts throughout the summer holidays."
