Parklands Primary School Win Gower Football Tournament!

Parklands Primary School Wins Gower Football Tournament!

 

Parklands Primary School are the proud winners of the South Wales Police Gower Schools Football Tournament.

 

The Football Tournament took place on Thursday 10th May at the University Playing Fields, Sketty Lane, Swansea, Swansea.

 

It involved 18 schools from across the Gower sector and over 216 children participated.    Despite the very heavy rain and muddy pitches, it was a great success with Parklands Primary school winning the Trophy competition and Newton Primary School winning the Shield.

 

Swans Player Neil Taylor attended the event he very kindly signed a few autographs and handed out the medals, trophies and raffle prizes which included a signed football and Swans signed shirts.    

 

Other Police departments including the Gower Neighbourhood Policing Team, South Wales Police dog section, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Swansea City FC, Gower College and the University Playing Fields staff all came together to ensure the day went as planned and that all the school children had an enjoyable day.
