Cycling Proficiency.
PCSO Neil Prosser and Angharad Woodward have been busy this week in
Manselton
School delivering the Cycling Proficiency lessons to year 6 pupils.
The initiative has been running for a couple of years now and involves the PCSO’s who have previously been trained to deliver training on not ‘how to ride your bike’ but, ‘how to ride your bike safely’.
One of the main points stressed is that ALL students must wear a cycle helmet. Students who do not are unable to attend this fun session.
Safety is the main lesson taught as well as Basic bike checks and advice regarding information on suitable clothing.
The day long sessions are well attended and enjoyed by all who engage.
PCSO Neil and Angharad are enthusiastic and enjoy the interaction with the students. They find it so rewarding when on there daily patrols they witness the students putting into practice the skills they acquire during these sessions….
