On Friday, 29th June, Bridgend Neighbourhood Team members PCSOs Christian Freeth, Heather Dobbs, Lisa Moore and Police Volunteer Becky John, held a Blue Light Disco for local children in the Bryntirion, Cefn Glas, Newcastle and Broadlands areas. The event was held at the OCLP Club, Bryntirion.
The event has been described as a huge success with over 130 young people attending and the whole evening being enjoyed by everyone. There was a good atmospher and it seemed that everyone had a great time and they were all very well behaved.
Six lucky children won £10 Odeon vouchers as a result of winning the best dance competition.
PCSO Freeth said, ' I would like to say a big 'thank you' to Mike and Avril who let us use the club as a venue for the disco, it was the perfect location for this event. We are overwhelmed by the number of children attending the disco and it seems that they all enjoyed themselves and had a great time. We will be holding another Blue Light Disco in the near future with more fun, games and prizes to be won.'
So kids, keep an eye out on www.ourbobby.com for more information, your local notice boards or catch up with Chris or Heather who will be attending the local schools to speak to you and let you know the next disco date!.
