The afternoon of Friday 11th May, a drugs warrant was executed at an address in Caerau with the involvement of MAESTEG/CAERAU Neighbourhood Policing team, TST and dog section. The Operation was led by neighbourhood beat manager PC Barry. The warrant was executed as a result of community led intelligence.
The occupiers were believed to be involved in the use and supply of drugs, and also involved in anti social behaviour in the area.
As a result of the warrant it had positive impact in the community.
PC Barry stated "Anti social behaviour and drug dealing has a detrimental effect on the quality of life on the community of Caerau and will not be tolerated, and we will continue to eradicate the drugs on the streets of Caerau”
The Caerau and Maesteg neighbourhood police team encourage community intelligence from local residents and act on information received.
