The residents of Hayden Terrace Penydarren were met today by the neighbourhood policing team and local councillor Allan Jones.
Concerns were raised regarding anti-social behaviour on the foot path and steps above Gellifaelog Primary School in the evenings, youth's are gathering there drinking alcohol and throwing their empty can's into residents gardens, residents were invited to attend the local pact meeting the first Tuesday of the month at 5pm at the resident centre Galon-Uchaf to also voice their concerns at the meeting.
The neighbourhood policing team gave reassurance that patrols would be stepped up in the area, blackberry mobile contact details were given out to residents who did not have them, and told to keep using the 101 number to report Non Emergency incidents. The Street Briefing ended by informing residents that due to community intelligence TWO addresses in the ward were searched on a drugs warrant ,executed by local officers, a large quantity of class A drugs were recovered, person's arrested at scene, officers are continuing their enquiries, this is evidence that South Wales Police are committed to tackle the issue of drugs in your neighbourhood.
