Fiddelrs Elbow, Quakers Yard
Date Published: 08/08/2012
It has been brought to my attention that there is an increasing issue with vehicles parking on the pavement at Fiddlers Elbow, Quakers Yard. Vehicles are parking on the pavement are making it difficult for pedestrians to pass. This is causing pedestrians to walk out on to the road which is dangerous.
As much as it can be convenient to park in this area, I ask that drivers be considerate to pedestrians who have to walk on the road due to the vehicles causing an obstruction.
As well as public safety it is illegal to cause an obstruction on a pathway.
Nine vehicles were issued with a fixed penalty notices (£30 fine) today 08/08/12. Positive action will continue should anyone cause an obstruction.
