Summary:
Complaints of vehicles parking on double yellow lines and junctions causing obstructions.
Regular patrols by Officers in the area and positive action to be taken against any offending drivers of vehicles.
Neath Port Talbot Parking Enforcement Officers to also be informed to assist with the problem.

- While on foot patrol one instance of a car causing an obstruction near the Post Office was reported and upon attendance the car was not present. For a period of time we did use the speed camera in various locations but did not find anyone driving at excessive speed.

- During patrols of the area no parking obstructions were noted except for one instance when a driver was seen parking up in a dangerous place, we provided suitable advice and observed him parking somewhere more appropriate.

- Spoke to Ian REES ,the parking enforcement officer for Neath/Port Talbot who has sent me the parking offence ticket allocation for Resolven and Glynneath.
He has informed me that Parking wardens are regularly patrolling Resolven but that no offences were being detected as the offenders are leaving the area upon seeing his officers. Mr.REES has faxed the details of parking restrictions to myself and I will pass on the details at the next PACT meeting.

- The Neath and Port Talbot parking enforcement officer has been contacted in relation to the on going problem of illegal parking which is causing unessessary obstruction to the free flow of traffic and potentially causing safety considerations for both drivers and pedestrains alike. The information was passed onto a concerned rewsident of Neath Road by officers .It was determined that the enforcement officer would be requested too attend the next PACT meeting in order to fully clarify the parking problems .

- While patrolling Commercial Street PCSO Cole moved on two vehicles causing disruption to the flow of traffic and suitably advised the drivers regarding parking on this road and others in the village.

- PCSO's Cole and Williams conducted a foot patrol of Resolven and moved on and warned and advised a number of motorists regarding parking.

- The head of NPT Council's parking wardens has been spoken to and has assured PCSO Cole that his staff are attending Resolven on a frequent basis to deal with this problem. He has stated that the parking wardens are restricted by the road markings and rules regarding the issuing of tickets.
All members of the Neighbourhood policing Team are actively monitering and dealing with this issue.
