Cwmgwrach and Blaengwrach are two half's of a typically small Welsh Valley Village with a population of around 1,148. Situated near Glynneath in the Country Borough of Neath Port Talbot. Cwmgwrach is a predominantly upland area and contains the highest points of 3 local hills or mountains namely Mynydd Resolfen and the rather more impressive Mynydd Pen y Cae and Craig y Llys. Both offer spectacular views of the valley below and the Brecon Beacons in the distance. Craig y Llyn is home to a nature reserve containing Llyn Fach and is a site of Specific Scientific interest.
