Cadoxton
ward covers
The village of Cadoxton consists of a main road of approximately two miles running from the outskirts of the town of Neath to the village of Cilfrew, with smaller streets and estates feeding off.
Situated in the village is Cadoxton Retail Park with Lidl's and Halfords Stores located in the estate.
Children from the village normally attend Catwg Primary School and then Llangatwg Community School which are both located on the Main Road, along with a newsagent and two public houses.
Crime is low in the village and the area is generally considered to be one of the safest areas in the County.
The village name Cadoxton is the english language version of the welsh name Llangatwg. Equivalent to St Catwg's and is a contraction of Cadoc's town. Both versions of the name derive from the Parish Church that is dedicated to St Catwg found in the centre of the village.
