Trebanos

Trebanos is a little village situated in an area between Clydach and Pontardawe. There is a main road that travels through Trebanos to the two Towns either side, this road is known as Swansea Road. The road used to be the main route between the Towns until the bypass was built a few years ago. Trebanos has a population of approximately 1450 people. It is a quiet little village consisting of a Post Office, Petrol Station. Off Licence, Grocery, Chinese/Cantonese Take away, Public House The Colliers Arms, Rugby Club, Sports and Social Club, Church, Chapel, Community Hall, Hairdressers, Horse Riding Farm and Stables and most importantly a Primary School ie Trebanos Welsh School. The village is also home to a canal and river which comes from the Pontardawe end towards Clydach into Swansea which has a cycle and footpath. The villsage is also home to a Sewage Plant which is located behind the rugby field.
