Baglan ward covers
I'm Emma James community support officer and together with PC Dale Davies we cover the Baglan area. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Baglan pages of ourbobby.com. The village is named after Saint Baglan, the earliest known reference is to `Bagelan` and dates as far back as 1199. Baglan is located on the side of a steep hill and is surrounded by two main hills, MynyddyGaer (to the north) and Mynydd Dinas (to the east). Baglan has a large residential community along with an active and busy industrial estate and also has many other amenities such as local shops and businesses and its own railway station which is served by Arriva Trains Wales. I'm very proud to serve the community of Baglan and by working together we want to continue to make Baglan a safe and enjoyable place to live, work and visit.
