Cymmer
ward covers
The Cymmer Ward is located in the Afan Valley and is the largest ward comprising of the villages of Cynonville, Duffryn Rhondda, Abercregan, Croeserw and Cymmer itself. The area is enjoying a resurgence in the tourism industry and the area attracts cyclists from across the UK and Europe to the many mountin bike trails. There are currently a number of B & B's now in the area capitalising on the cycling market. There are also a few independent businesses dotted throughout the ward which are locally run. The area of Cymmer has been referred to as 'Little Switzerland' due to the vast amount of forestry and its views.
