Margam ward covers
I am Ryan Penny, the new Police Community Support Officer for Margam. I am delighted to be working in a fantastic community and hope to continue the good work of Chris Rees, who has moved on to pursue a career as a Police Officer.
I will be available to help with any problems - please feel free to give me a call.

The Ward includes Margam Country Park, an estate of around 850 acres. The estate was once owned by the Mansel Talbot family, the estate is now administered and owned by the Council. The estate is well known for it's Peacock population, as well as rare breeds of Glamorgan cattle.

The estate also includes the Margam Abbey, founded in 1147 and Margam Castle, which overlooks the ancint ruins.

The Ward is also home to an important British Steel works.

The actor Sir Anthony Hopkins was born in the Ward in 1937.
