Sandfields East ward covers
Sandfields East overlooks the Wards of  Margam to the East, Sandfields West to the West, Aberavon to the Northeast, and Baglan to the Northwest. The Ward also overlooks Aberavon Beach.
The Ward is home to both Port Talbot Football Club and Afan Lido Football Club as well as the Afan Lido Leisure Centre.
According to the 2001 census Sandfields East has the second highest population density out of all 42 Neath Port Talbot wards. With 36.7 people per hectare. Sandfields East is only behind Sandfields West in terms of the highest population densities in Neath Port Talbot

TAG YOUR TOTS
Giving wrist bands to children with parents contact details on them if they become separated from their parents.
Kerb Craft
The Sandfields Neighbourhood Policing Team will be helping the Council’s road safety team to run the Kerb Craft scheme. This initative will involves volunteers, the council and police, taking groups of school children (aged 6 – 7) out and teaching them all about road safety. There will be an initial training day for the volunteers and the scheme will be up and running for the start of the new term in September
