Porth ward covers

Porth is known as the gateway to the Rhondda. It is in this town that the two valleys, Rhondda Fach and the Rhondda Fawr (Little Rhondda and Big Rhondda) meet leading down to Trehafod and then onto Pontypridd.

Hannah Street is the main shopping centre in Porth with an array of shops selling anything from sandwiches to Swarskovski jewellery.

There are five schools in the Porth area namely Porth Community School, Porth Infants, Porth Juniors, Llwyncelyn Infants and Ysgol Gynradd Llwyncellyn.

Your nearest Police Station is :Pontypridd Police Station,Berw Road, Pontypridd,CF37 2TR which is open from 8am until Midnight 7 days a week. Non urgent incidents please Ring 101..
