From PCSO Sally Thomas:-
I have carried out regular patrols in the area and I have observed vehicles parking on the bend.
However these vehicles were not parked illegally.
On Sunday 8th August I attended at Bryn Catwg with a Traffic Officer from South Wales Police, who also confirmed that no offences were being committed by vehicles parked at the location, as there are no yellow lines present.
I will contact Neath Port Talbot Council to see if it is possible to have lines at the location.
On Thursday 19th Aug 2010 I attended at the Day Centre and spoke to the assistant manager regarding the problems residents face when negotiating the bend.
I suggested that staff should park elsewhere on Bryn Catwg.

During the last PACT meeting, residents expressed concerns about people parking on the bend on Bryn Catwg Road in Cadoxton. Over the next 2 months Skewen Neighbourhood Policing Team will carry out the following actions:
1. Speak to staff at Day Centre and ask them to park elsewhere.
2. Patrols to be carried out.
3. Warning notices to be placed on offending vehicles.
4. Parking tickets to be issued.

- From PCSO Sally Thomas. Patrols were carried out on Bryn Catwg on Tuesday 27th July 2010 from 13:30hrs. Some vehicles were parked at location but were not causing an obstruction. I spoke to several residents and passed my contact number in the event of any problems.

All present happy with Police action and agreed that this is no longer a priority
