Inspector Tony Carpenter
I am Tony Carpenter, the Sector Inspector responsible for the Policing of the Cynon Valley.
I am pleased to have command of a dedicated and enthusiastic team of 24-hour ‘Response’ officers and Community officers. My aim is to further reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
The Cynon has a diverse population but one that has traditionally valued its community spirit. This means that community engagement and partnerships with other agencies are flourishing. All areas have their own PACT (Partnerships & Communities Together) meeting. These are an ideal environment to raise issues and concerns. Similarly, the Police Community Support Officers assigned to each area are contactable via their mobile phones or by following the links to each area on this website. In addition, the new free non-emergency number (101) makes passing on information and reporting incidents even easier. I look forward to meeting many of you during the course of my duties.
