Church Village ward covers

Church Village is situated between Tonteg, to the east and Llantwit Fardre to the west.  It is a lively community and over the past few years has developed considerably with the recent opening of the new bypass, many new housing estates and the new Garth Olwg Lifelong Learning Centre campus.

There are two primary schools in the area, one English and one Welsh, and there is also a Welsh speaking comprehensive school.  The hub of the village is also home to many local businesses.

PACT Projects

To view information on a PACT Project click the link. The current PACT Projects are:

RAILINGS OUTSIDE TRADING POST ON ST ILLTYDS ROAD
We have received many complaints over the past few years that cars are stopping on double yellow lines and zig-zags on St Illtyd's Road to pop into the shops or get money out of the cash point at the Post Office. We find this inexcusable given the fact that these shops are located opposite a primary school which has obvious dangers when the children are coming in and out of school and also given the fact there is a FREE car park located directly opposite. We are now seeking to have railings erected along the edge of the pavement which would make it awkward for people to get out of their cars and hopefully make them use the car park.
