Inspector Stephen Rees
I am the Sector Inspector for the Maesteg area. The area is geographically large and semi rural in nature and covers from Aberkenfig in the south of the sector to Maesteg in the north, and includes the Garw, Ogmore and Llynfi valleys.
The main sector station is in Maesteg, however, officers are also based in Caerau, Aberkenfig and Pontycymmer police stations. Each station is home to a dedicated neighbourhood policing team of constables and police community support officers under the supervision of a team sergeant.
Our aim is to reduce crime and tackle local issues of concern through the PACT process, thereby improving the quality of life for residents in the sector and making the area in which they live safer and without fear of crime.
