- >> Fun Day at Meirion Place - 01/07/2010
Communities 1st in Splott recently held a family fun day at Meirion Place. There was a very good turnout of local residents where the good weather contributed to a succesful day.
During the event Communities 1st held a consultation with the residents about the regeneration of the flats. As a result the car parking area is to be upgraded with new turf and tree planting.
- >> Meirion Place - 13/04/2010
Regular Police patrols are continuing in Meirion Place and surrounding area.
Since the last PACT meeting on 10/03/10, there has been just one call made to police regarding youth annoyance and anti-social behaviour in Meirion Place. Unfortunately, on this occasion, none of the youths responsible were identified.
The improvement in the area is possibly due to the numerous Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) Referral letters that have been submitted by officers to youths causing annoyance in the area in the last two months.
- >> Meirion Place Update - 11/03/2010
Residents in this location have reported a marked reduction in incidents of youth anti social behaviour at the flats.
There have been 8 ASBO referrals and 1 arrest here in the last 2 months.
These flat are due for regeneration in the summer. It is hoped that changes to the design of the area and upgrading the door security system will deter youths from entering the flats.
