- >> PARKING ISSUES - 25/04/2012
Firstly apologies as I have not been able to attend and deal with the parking issues as much as I would have liked due to the fact that I have been tied up with other duties.
I do however have some good news with regards to the parking as I have spoken to Councillor Peter Rees regarding the condition of the road markings outside the School, he in turn has spoken to his Colleagues in the Council and has confirmed that the road markings are to be repainted.
I would still like to strongly advise that anyone attending the School for drop offs/pick ups be mindful regarding their manner of parking.
- >> PARKING - ST JOSEPHS SCHOOL - 13/03/2012
At the recent PACT meeting discussions were raised regarding parking problems o.s. St Josephs Preimary School, Cook Rees Avenue during School drop off and pick up times.
Letters along with my contact details have been given to the Head Mistress of the School for distribution to the parents and Staff.
My first visit to the School since the last meeting was to observe the parking. There was a clear problem and 4 people including parents, taxi drivers and bus drivers were warned with regards to their parking.
Starting from the 19th March random operations will be set up to target this issue. This will give plenty of tim for parents and staff to receive the letters and give everyone a fair chance.
- >> PARKING ISSUES - 01/03/2012
Attended to monitor the parking o.s. St Josephs School.
All was going well until one parent pulled up on the zig zags and before I could speak to them they drove off.
I did however take the number plate and a warning letter has been sent out.
I continue to urge all parents, guardians and staff to be mindful of their parking, read the signs and pay attention to the road markings as they are there for a reason ie the safety of the children.
Conclusion
