Lower Brynamman and Tairgwaith is a peacefull community and is mainly residential it consists of 1 Welsh Language School, 1 English  Language School, 2 Post Offices, 3 Chapels, 1 Church, 1 Rugby Football Club and 2 Working Mens Club
